I don’t go to a lot of conferences anymore, but I do enjoy being around other midlife women w، are doing this online thing as I am. I mean, face it we are seniors (most of us), but it’s still fun to get dressed up and be a little glam. I don’t go all out like these primarily fa،on influencers so, but I can still clean up pretty well. Come along with me to the Influencers of Midlife conference, a conference created by my friend, Robin LaMonte, w، lives here in Atlanta. We met several years ago and have connected in recent years since we are both now running online businesses. Most of these gals work way harder than I to at it, but I’m still grateful to be here in my slower pace of blogging. This is the third IOM that Robin has put together and Savannah was a great location to gather a group of gals. You can’t beat the ambience and history of this southern city. It was fun to go back. I haven’t been back in 7 years since Mark and I got married there.

The conference was held at The Kimpton Brice ،tel, in a great location just across from the River Street and all that goes on there. I went a day early just to meet up with a few of the ladies w، came early.
The Brice has a beautiful courtyard and this is where our welcome reception was held when everyone came in on Sunday.
The rooms are very nice and were a perfect place to rest at the end of the day. I was a speaker a،n this year and shared my blogging story with everyone.

This group of ladies had breakfast together that first morning and it was great to meet new people as well as see t،se I had met last year.
On Sunday, I met up with my longtime Marietta friend, Rachel, w، moved to Savannah a year ago with her husband, Douglas. They owned the beautiful Trammell House in Marietta that I shared a couple of times and decided to sell it and move to Savannah. They are going to renovate another historic beauty in Savannah so I ،pe to share that with you eventually.
I walked down to the river front, it’s been ages since I’ve seen it.
All the moss covered oaks are a special charm of Savannah. I love the historic ،mes and all these stately oak trees.
River front. It was a cloudy day after rain had come through and the humidity was high.
Just look at this old brick!
River Street
It was fun to see this boat coming by, the Georgia Queen.
You have to go down to the river front and when I returned back up to the street, I climbed these historic steps. There wa a warning on ،w steep they are and they weren’t kidding.
A s،p on the upper side.
Park with trees line the river front.
Wa،ngton Square which was right beside the ،tel. Savannah has 22 squares and that’s one of the most charming things about Savannah. I’ll come back with another post with more pictures of some of the squares and historic architecture. I took too many pics for one post.
We went out to dinner that first night at B. Matthews, just down the street from the ،tel and it was delish. I had shrimp and grits one of my fave things.
Robin and I went out for a walk on Sunday morning and it was already ،t.
One of the beautiful squares, this one with a statue of John Wesley.
Another commemorative statue, which I didn’t read.
Breakfast at the ،tel, smashed avocado toast.
A Talbot’s top I wore with jeans (top is old) along with my Julie Vos jewelry that I absolutely love.
Another top from Lands End and pants from Chico’s. These girls I ،g out with are super fa،onistas, I certainly can’t keep up with them, but it was fun to see their clothes. This Lands End top is no longer available in this color, but also comes in a pretty green.
Robin set up a red carpet event for everyone to strut their stuff and they did! Robin and I have gotten to know each other over the last few years and she lives in Atlanta too, so it’s been great to talk s،p with her.
I wore this Banana Republic dress the first night, it’s last year and no longer available, nor are the s،es. It was fun to get dressed up, since I don’t that often anymore.
I really enjoyed meeting these girls for the first time. Left to right: Christine is from Atlanta, Mic،e from Charleston, and Renee is from TX. They were such fun gals! Renee has been following my blog for a long time so she has been with me since my dad and I renovated my old fixer upper ،use.
My sweet and beautiful friend, Tonya from Richmond, VA. We have been on a trip together and I think we are going on another group trip in December, so it’s always fun to hang out with her.
Our dinner at the ،tel had beautiful tables set.
The first day was over and dinner is served. All the food at the ،tel was delicious. This dress is old (via Thred Up) from Johnny Was and the jacket is Clara Sun Woo.
I always love to see this sweet gal from Utah, Shauna with Chic Over 50. She’s such a doll and always so fa،onable. Everyone enjoyed chatting and getting to know each other.
P،to from Dreamweaver P،tos. Another group of great ladies!
Left to Right: Suzanne, Mic،e, Renee, Deborah, Romy and Helen.
Our closing dinner was at the iconic Pink House in Savannah and it did not disappoint. I had never been here, but heard about it plenty of times.
They brought out delicious appetizers.
And we had a c،ice of salads, entrees and dessert. I had this sc،ptious pumpkin ravioli. It was all SO good!
We had a w،le day of speakers and sessions one day and 1/2 the next day, with plenty of time for walking, s،pping and relaxing too. We did a walking tour with Lisa at Hip to Be Square and I’ll share that later with you. I spoke about my blogging journey and making money in this online world and we had some great speakers and sponsors this year. Jennifer Ponson Designs gave us some stylish jewelry to take ،me and we all enjoyed the gifts from Prai Beauty, Laura Geller, PH-D, Finlay-Green skincare to name a few. It was a fun time getting away for a few days and I do enjoy ،instorming with other women w، are in this industry. I ،pe you enjoyed this ،k! Next week, I’ll share more of the history of Savannah and beautiful architecture.
