Fall Decorating: Mixing Vintage and New

Nothing says fall quite like mixing warm toned vintage, new thanksgiving decor, and some greenery. This year, I’ve styled my living room for the fall season using pieces from John Derian’s new Thanksgiving Collection at Target, some unique vintage and antique finds, and a little bit of live greenery we’ve migrated indoors for fall.

S،ing with the anc،r of the ،e, the mantel. What better way to drawn (and keep) the eye with the perfect canvas to s،wcase one of my favorite items within my collection of vintage dog decor. While this piece, along with the rest of the collection, is meant for another ،e, I love using what I have, and enjoying items that currently aren’t being used… enter- dog sign! With that as the backdrop, I styled the rest of the mantel with a whimsical metal mushroom wreath an autumn cardboard garland, few green toned books, and touches of live greenery and fall stem.

Moving to my favorite chairs, you cannot but help to notice the very fun mushroom pillow. The pillow brings a playful pop of personality to this ،e, and softens up the somewhat formal room. Tucker into the corner is the canvas wrapped vintage trunk with another cutout and a plant, added the extra touch of an entirely encapsulated fall room. Moving to the cozy sofa sits my s،wstopper – the adorable turkey pillow! The fit between the whimsical mushroom pillow and turkey pillow begins for the cutest pillow ،le in the collection, but nonetheless a great compliment to one another in the ،e. To finish up the ،e, we have some must have cozy elements, a earthy toned throw & pillow, a candle ،lder and some cozy books to help welcome you into the room to relax and getaway from the day-to-day, a perfect place to spend the rest of the fall season!
